Designed specifically for heavy-duty demands. the SRAM Code R pairs SRAM’s DirectLink lever to an oversized four-piston caliper.
The DirectLink lever features tool-free reach adjustment allowing you to easily dial in your lever reach. The four-piston caliper features oversized brake pistons. which measure 15 and 16 mm in diameter and Bleeding Edge. which results in easier. more consistent brake bleeds. The SRAM Code R demonstrates a terrific balance of reliability. practicality. and outright power.
Who is this item for: DH. Enduro. All Mountain. aggressive trail and heavier riders that require big stopping power.

Which Pads: The brakes come factory with metallic pads for more power and longer wear life. You can run organic pads if you would like.
Mount: MatchMaker. This system will hold a number of SRAM trigger shifters. and RockShox controls as well.

Pros: Big power on a budget. MatchMaker compatible helps keep your bars clutter-free. The brake lever is ambidextrous so they can be run right-rear. left-front easily if they need to be.
Cons: If you own an older AVID/SRAM bleed kit it won’t work with the new Bleeding Edge bleed system. You can buy a Bleeding Edge adaptor for your existing AVID/SRAM syringes.
