Description
A too soft trouser pad has the same effect as a too soft saddle: the sit bones sink in so far that riding becomes uncomfortable as the sensitive soft tissue. such as muscle and tendons are aggravated. Besides the pressure. the shear forces caused by the pedalling motion are aggravating to the soft tissues. The new SQ-pads (One11 One10) have a very thin layer of orthopaedic TPE gel to prevent shearing forces.
The SQ-Short ONE10 Liner is equipped with the SQ-Pad 10 for MTB or everyday riding. The pad has a maximum thickness of 8mm. The pad is a patented dense but breathable foam. which is equipped with a thin layer of TPE gel on the underside. This gel absorbs the shearing forces that result from the pedalling movement. This gel was developed to absorb shear forces in the medical field.
The liner has a high level of breathability due to the wafer-thin perforated fabric. which ensures optimal ventilation.
The SQ-Shorts ONE10 Liners are made of a High-Performance fabric precisely created for sports applications. This fabric has optimal thermo-regulating properties and in combination with the Flatlock stitched seams ensure a perfect fit without any uncomfortable pressure zones.
The initial impression of the SQ-Pad 10 is very similar to that of an SQlab saddle; initially somewhat unfamiliar. but the more you ride the more comfortable it becomes. A further significant advantage of SQlab’s flat and firm chamois is that the sit bones do not push it inwards. causing the sit bones to rub on the edges as is often the case with many high and soft chamois.
The SQ-Short ONE10 Liner is perfect to wear under your favourite shorts or pants.
