Description
The Spank Split 35 Stem is a terrific option for Enduro riders in need of a 35mm clamp stem. The new Split 35 stem features smart touches like an index system printed on one of the stems clamping plates so you can fine-tune your bars upsweep and backsweep. This system ties in perfectly with Spank’s 35mm clamp bars. An ultra-short stack height means it will fit most bikes regardless of how short the steerer tube has been cut. They also feature a shotpeen-anodized surface which increases strength. durability and fatigue life.
Who’s this item for: Enduro. All Mountain and Trail riders chasing a solid bar in a 35mm clamp diameter.
Material: The stem is made from 6-Series Alloy and features a 3D forged CNC optimized body and a 2D forged faceplate.
Stack height: An ultra-low 34mm.
Rise: 0-degrees.
Weight:
- 35mm. ±131-grams
- 40mm. ±136-grams
- 45mm. ±139-grams
- 50mm. ±141-grams
Pros: The very low stack height will suit factory cut steerer tubes which tend to be quite short. The clamping face width is nice and wide to support the handlebars. The torque specifications are printed on the stem. It uses the same sized hex head bolts through-out the stem.
Cons: This is a very minor gripe but stems with two separate face plates are slower to install. If this is the only thing to complain about it must be a great product.
Note: Some stems are now shipping with a more subtle top cap rather than the star cap shown in the images.
