The Flank Leg Guards are part of the RaceFace Enduro protection range and they are designed with big days in the saddle and high-consequence riding in mind. They feature a durable TPU skid plate for sliding during crashes. as well as a ripstop knee cover for extra abrasion resistance and durability. The D30 protective insert has a Krydex pierce-proof layer. and extra foam padding on the sides will stop you from banging your knees on your frame.

The pads have a handy open-backed design to make them easy to remove for the climbs before strapping them back on at the top. All without removing your shoes. Three hook and loop closures will enable you to fine-tune your fit before you drop in for another run.

Who’s this item for: These are a pretty burly set of pads but they have been designed with Enduro racing in mind so they will be quite comfortable to pedal in. They are still very much a gravity focussed pad and are better suited to going down rather than up.

Protection Style: These leg guards use a D30 main protective pad with a Kydex pierce-proof layer. and then a TPU skid plate over the top. Foam padded sides provide extra protection against side impacts.

Materials: Perforated Neoprene. 600D Polyester with thermoplastic polyurethane skid plate.

Closure or Slip-on: These are an open-back strap on style pad with hook and loop upper and lower straps. You can easily put these on and take them off without having to remove your shoes.

Length of knee pad: No specific measurements are provided but they will extend far enough up the thigh to sit comfortably under most shorts without any gap. They will extend a few inches below the knee and the lower strap will sit just above your calf muscle.

Protection level: Heavy-duty protection.

Removable protective inserts for washing: No. the D30 insert is not removable for washing.

Pros: Excellent protection for the knees. The skid plate will help you slide without grabbing and jarring. Open-backed design means that you won’t have to keep removing your shoes to put them on or take them off.

Cons: These are a heavy-duty pad for high-consequence riding and will be too much pad for general trail riding duties.

Note: Please take care to not pull the knee pads up your leg from the top of the pads as you would a pair of socks. The material is not designed for this and may cause tears. Damage to the knee pads of this nature may not be covered by the manufacturer warranty. We recommend pulling up knee pads from the top and bottom of the pad with care. in a way that avoids stretching the mesh or damaging the stitching.
