The Speedframe Pro is a premium open face trail helmet from Fox that has been developed with direct input from Fox sponsored riders. The helmet features a 3 position visor that is goggle friendly.
Other standout features include a Fidlock SNAP helmet buckle. MIPS liner. Dual-density Varizorb EPS for improved impact protection. a removable anti-microbial liner and optimised venting for efficient cooling.
The differences between this and the more affordable models:
- Speedframe MIPS: Still has a MIPS liner but doesn’t include a Fidlock Snap buckle. dual-density EPS. or an anti-bacterial liner.
- Speedframe (Base Model): Does not have MIPS.

Construction: Dual-density Varizorb EPS provides a harder. and a softer layer to provide excellent protection against both low-speed. and high-speed impacts.
Rotational liner: This helmet uses a MIPS liner for extra protection from rotational forces.
Straps: The straps use a Fidlock SNAP helmet buckle to provide a quick and secure action. even while wearing gloves.
Retention System: The 360-degree fit system uses a dial to help you fine-tune the fit.
Ventilation: The exact number of vents isn’t stated but there are a bunch of nice big vents. including a number on the brow area which will work to channel fresh air through the helmet.
Padding: The XT2 liner has anti-microbial and odour managing properties and is removable and washable if it does eventually get a bit manky.
Weight: 380g (medium)
Pros: A fully featured helmet that offers plenty of adjustment to get the fit just right and should keep your head protected regardless of whether you crash fast or slow.
Cons: An integrated GoPro mount would be a nice addition. but it’s hardly a deal-breaker.
